Hi there! My name is Angel Austria, a Ruby on Rails developer here at Montani International Inc. I’ve been in Rev365 (now Montani) for more than three years now and after all these years, it’s interesting to find myself beginning my 2023 with an article writing. This experience brings in itself a unique challenge, such that I have found myself actually getting stuck and unable to push myself to think of the ideas and topics that I hope would be best or at least that readers would find to be interesting. There are countless ideas to work with certainly, but when its too many it can get really overwhelming.
I have then decided, that the best way there is to succeed in this writing is to perhaps introduce myself. Shall I repeat my self-introduction? Of course, I should just proceed because I will never hear your responses. So here it is. Hello again, I’m Angelique Austria from Nueva Ecija, 30 years old. I am the eldest in our family. I have two brothers, one sister and 2 dogs. I live with my parents because I am not married yet. Yes, in a nutshell --- the details that you’ve just read is me, Angel.
Having reached this point in my life, I mean being 30, I feel like I have become calmer, more relaxed, that I am easily satisfied and get contentment just to be at home lying on the couch or on my bed while watching TV and while indulging on the side a hot cup of coffee or tea depending on the occasion, really. Yup, it’s a cloud 9 for me. Blame it on the chill culture, I’m slowly morphing into a hardcore introvert. I guess so too, it comes with the age you know, when the vitality of youth slows down, your interests would suddenly go after the things you just have basically the energy for.
Childhood dreams however, continues to pump me up like going to my dream vacation destinations. An escape to Batanes is mind blowing. Just imagining the mountains and be blown by the winds on its hilltops. It’s a pure paradise. I’d say Batanes is the top tourist spot I’d fly to in a heartbeat for a local gem here in the Philippines. For an indulgence, if I’d get the chance to, I fancy the vision of seeing the blossoming of a Sakura in Japan or even to experience its extremely busy pedestrians would be exciting. For an extreme luxury, I’d like to travel to Europe maybe because it’s a posh thing to do.
So, that’s pretty much about me and how my life has been going on so far. I hope in this way you were able to get some information about myself. We’ll never know, this might be relevant in the future. (Lol) I honestly would like to know more about the employees of Montani. As sad as it sounds, most of you I just get to see during our monthly meetings and at least with some of you I was lucky enough to get to work with. Well, this is what is included in the remote work package.
I would like to express as a way to conclude the things that I have shared about myself is to also share with you the things that I love the most in our company. I would say that for me, it is the work environment and the way the management treats and understands us as employees. Like even if it’s a remote setup, they still find a way to make us feel that they are supporting us. I’m grateful that I’m here, learning and growing not only as an employee but also as an individual.
I’m happy that Team PH keeps getting bigger. I hope we’ll achieve greater milestones onwards. I would like to take this chance as well to say “Thank you” for the opportunity to continue to work here and learn things from my colleagues and for allowing me to share my ideas and knowledge.
